প্রিপোজিশনের ফাঁদ
কোন Verb-এর সাথে কোন Preposition — এটা যুক্তি দিয়ে হয় না, চর্চা দিয়ে হয়। ফাঁদগুলো চিনে রাখুন।
নিয়মটা কী?
নির্দিষ্ট Verb, Adjective ও Noun-এর সাথে নির্দিষ্ট Preposition বসে। এগুলো নিয়ম নয়, প্রচলন — তাই মুখস্থ ও চর্চাই ভরসা।
মূল পয়েন্টগুলো
- wait for, listen to, look at, laugh at, depend on, insist on
- afraid of, fond of, aware of, capable of, tired of, proud of
- good at, bad at, expert in, interested in, engaged in
- married to, similar to, superior to, according to, belong to
- angry with (ব্যক্তি), angry at (আচরণ)
- কোনো preposition লাগে না: discuss, enter, marry, resemble, lack, reach, attack, mention
গঠন / সূত্র
Verb + for
wait / apply / long / search + for
He applied for the job.
Adjective + of
afraid / fond / aware / capable + of
She is afraid of dogs.
Adjective + to
married / similar / superior / accustomed + to
He is accustomed to hard work.
উদাহরণ
- He is good at mathematics.
- She is interested in music.
- I am tired of waiting.
- This book is different from that one.
- He died of cholera. (রোগে) / He died from overwork. (কারণে)
ভুল বনাম ঠিক
❌ ভুল
I am waiting your reply.
✅ ঠিক
I am waiting for your reply.
কেন: wait-এর সাথে 'for'।
❌ ভুল
He is good in English.
✅ ঠিক
He is good at English.
কেন: দক্ষতা বোঝাতে good at।
❌ ভুল
This is different than that.
✅ ঠিক
This is different from that.
কেন: British/formal English-এ different from।
❌ ভুল
She got married with a doctor.
✅ ঠিক
She got married to a doctor.
কেন: married-এর সাথে 'to'।
❌ ভুল
He reached at the station.
✅ ঠিক
He reached the station.
কেন: reach-এর পরে preposition বসে না।
মনে রাখার কৌশল
রোজ ৫টা করে **Verb + Preposition** জোড়া মুখস্থ করুন এবং সেগুলো দিয়ে বাক্য বানান। এক মাসে ১৫০টা — ৯০% ভুল শেষ।
পড়া শেষ হলে চিহ্নিত করুন
শেষ করা লেসনগুলো তালিকায় ✅ চিহ্ন পাবে।
